All Things Pride w/ @fitnesspapi_

Sam More
Pride Month is here and we couldn't be happier! Millions around the world take this month to reflect, honour and celebrate the LGBTQIA2S+ voices that make up our community. This month, we decided to chat with Antonio aka @fitnesspapi_ to see what his Pride Month plans are!

What does Pride Month mean to you?

Antonio: Pride month is a month where corporate America tells us we can be proud to be gay, but you should be proud to be gay every single day that you live hunty!

How do you celebrate Pride?

Antonio: I used to dance at almost every pride event up-and-down California, NY, Vegas, etc, but now I don’t feel the need to do events to celebrate being gay. It’s cheaper to have a kiki with drinks at home while watching Mean Girls lmao

Who are your favourite people to celebrate Pride with?

Antonio: My favorite person to celebrate pride with is my husband!

What is your favourite memory at Pride?

Antonio: My favorite memory at pride would be in New York for world pride in 2019. Me and my husband flew in from San Francisco, but we had missed our original flight so we were super late. So we literally landed and got on a float for the parade with no sleep. After that we were bar hopping and my body was so exhausted, I fell asleep in the streets and he held me for an hour until I was ready to go again no lie haha

What is your Pride anthem?

Antonio: I’m a bad gay; I don’t have one. To be honest I don’t listen to a lot of female artists or “gay“ music lol

What are your plans for Pride this year?

Antonio: I just bought a house! So between that and recently getting married, I haven't been doing much lately, but I will be at Seattle Pride with friends and my hubby this weekend! If you're there come, say hi!

Be sure to follow Antonio on Instagram here! Happy Pride!
