4 Lube Alternatives When You Run Out
Every gay person knows that lube is essential. If someone says that lube is not necessary for anal they either don’t know what they’re doing or the worst top on earth. Lube is necessary for anal sex because the anus is not self-lubricating! That means you will need a lot of lube!

Here are a couple of common household products that can be used as a substitute for lube:
Vaseline
Petroleum is 100% safe to use as a lubricant! However, the downside is that things can get a little messy and you may have to do a little extra cleaning up. Some people may not enjoy the oily and greasy feeling.

Oil
You can use olive, coconut, peanut and Vitamin E oil when you don’t have lube! However, please be careful because oil can break down condoms. It is also important to be aware that oil is thicker and does not easily dissolve into skin therefore it can clog pores, trap bacteria and increase the chance of infection.

Cornstarch and Water
This might not be the quickest solution since you will have to do some preparation to make the concoction. Boil a cup of water and add 4 teaspoons of cornstarch. Stir the pot until the cornstarch has fully dissolved. You will have to stir continuously or the homemade lube will be inconsistent and lumpy. Do this for about 15 minutes. Do not forget to let the lube cool down! You do not want to put pumping hot lube on your dick or up someone's ass! When it has cooled down you can put it in a bottle and use it! It is also condom friendly!

Aloe Vera
When using aloe vera make sure that it is 100% pure aloe vera! It is best to use 100% aloe vera because there may be other artificial ingredients that could irritate the anus. Aloe vera is great because it is latex condom friendly, slippery and soothing! It is suggested for those with sensitive skin to apply a bit of aloe vera to their hands to see if there are any negative reactions.
